Announcing Melbourne show, Dong Sang!

I have some very exciting news to share! After a successful run in Rome, I will now be showcasing a new show in Melbourne in February next year. The exhibit will be at the Heritage Hill Museum, Dandenong.

The show will be entitled ‘Dong Sang’. Most of the paintings in this collection have not been showcased before. The title of this collection, Dong Sang, comes from the Vietnamese phrase “đồng sàng dị mộng“. What it suggests is that “there can be different dreams, parts and ideas that sit together in the one space”.

Here I am painting sights of Ha Noi but with eyes inspired by my life in Australia and Australian landscape art. In turn, my paintings of Australian scenery, urban and outback, reflect a world experienced by a Vietnamese refugee.

Opening Night: 6pm, Thursday 11th February Where: Heritage Hill, 66 McCrae Street, Dandenong When: Running from the 11th February – 4th March, 2016 Times: Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm and first Sunday of each month, 12pm-4pm
